I bet the birds you saw were kestrels as they are brilliant at hovering and then swooping down to catch mice, voles and other small mammals.</description>

		<description>I saw two birds of prey last week when I was out walking my dog. They were over the local golf course and were hovering on the spot in mid-air and then diving for something on the ground. Amazing that they could keep still in the air - it was a very windy day! I've never seen them there before and didn't know what they were. Thanks for the link to the Hawk and Owl Trust, I'll take a look!</description>
